How does Q-Switching laser work on age spots, pigmentation and freckles lessions?
A: The system consists of intense light that is emitted through a series of short pulses. The wavelengths (1064nm, 640nm and 532nm) of the light is specially selected for targeted problem so as when it is directed into the skin, it will predominantly absorbed by melanin contained within freckles or dark spots. These pigmented lessions will absorb the light which causes them to break up. The heat created will shatter the lessions into small particles, release into the extracellular dermal space and eliminated from the body through our lymphatic system. This is referred to as the Photoacoustic Effect. One of the goals is to have the lessions absorb the wavelengths of light that will destroy the pigment, but leaving the surrounding tissues undamaged. In this way, Q-Switching development allows more effective, less damaging treatments.
This selected short pulses energy stimulates collgen reproduction, the fibrous that provides support to the skin to regenerate and to reform. The laser delivers energy deep enough into the dermis layer of skin and improve the structure of the skin with virtually no downtime.
